5 Minute Breakfast Pizza

breakfast pizza recipe by Starting Solids Australia

This 5 Minute Breakfast Pizza recipe created by the paediatric dietitians at Starting Solids Australia is a super easy little breakfast option that is high protein and adds veggies! Perfect for toddlers, big kids and adults alike!

This recipe is a great one to make with your little people to get them involved in the kitchen and learning about food. The recipe takes 5 minutes to throw together (without cooking time, which makes its about a 20 minute dish in total) so it is perfect for busy toddlers!

Age Recommendation - 12+ months. This recipe has some crispy edges and chunky veggies so better for toddlers to tackle. If you wanted to make it baby friendly, remove any crispy edges before serving and add mashed/finely grated or roasted veggies to your filling instead.

This recipe contains wheat, eggs and dairy which are top 9 allergens. We usually provide allergen swaps but this recipe really does need eggs! However, you can make it wheat and dairy free by using:

  • A GF wrap as the base
  • Swap the milk for soy/oat milk
  • Leave the cheese out

5 Minute Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 x wrap (we used a wholemeal tortilla wrap)
  • 2 x eggs
  • 2 x tbs milk
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 3 cherry tomatoes quartered
  • 1 mushroom thinly sliced
  • sprinkle of grated cheese to top

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees

  • Smear your tomato paste on the wrap and pop into the oven for a few minutes while you prep your veggies (this prevents the base from going soggy!)

  • Then take the base out of the oven and add in your egg mix then your veggies on top
  • Sprinkle with cheese
  • Pop into the oven and bake until cooked (10 minutes)
