Orange Cream Cakes
These Orange Cream Cakes by Starting Solids Australia are a great little lunchbox snack. With sweetness of cream cheese and zing of orange they are the perfect combination.

Orange Cream Cakes
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 3 TBSP brown sugar
- Rind of 1 orange
- 3/4 cup Almond Meal
- 1/3 Cup Greek Yogurt
- 1/3 Cup Wholemeal Self Raising Flour
- 80g Cream Cheese (Softened)
- 1 TBSP Icing Sugar
- Juice of half an orange
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees
- Beat eggs, sugar and orange rind together until soft and fluffy
- Add almond meal, flour and greek yogurt to the egg mixture and whisk to combine.
- Spray your dainty dozen baking tray with olive oil spray.
- Pour mixture into tray (makes 12 mini cakes)
- Bake in 170 degrees Celsius oven for 27 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
For the icing, add cream cheese, icing sugar and orange juice to a bowl and whisk to combine.
Serve with the left over orange chopped into quarters.
